This was a more personal piece as it was a Watercolour commission of my Grandma and Grandpa’s dog.
At the very beginning, I stared of with a flat/graduated wash to have a base to work from. I then developed piece by layering taking into consideration lighter areas and leaving those with less layers.
The photo reference did not show the dogs face fully due to lighting. This meant I had to depict the left half of his face without a clear referencing.
